The cold is clutching at the locks
Tearing claws and sleeping clocks'
A heart was lost, and frozen deep
Far beneath a winter sleep
Sugarplums dancing in their heads
Songs of creatures caught instead
The heart still beats, where I do not know,
Caught beneath the winter snow
Icicles grew, and melted twice
Angered by their frozen ice
Songs of creatures caught instead
Dancing through their frozen heads
The heart is lost
Where I do not know
Trapped beneath the winter snow
