I never really thought about what my life would be like in high school. It really isn't until the time comes for something that you think about it. Like take me for instance, I am in my junior year of high school and am only just now thinking about what I'm going to do after high school. And that really bothers me, I know people with their own houses and kids. Are on their own and only in their senior year.

I walked drowsily down the main hall to get out into the parking lot. My beat up Neon was parked about five rows back and trapped between two redneck trucks. "Great!", I yelled at my car. I already had my keys in my hand, so I unlocked it, opened the car, and put my bag into the trunk. There was only about a foot of space on each side of my Neon. I knew who each truck belonged to, and they had to stay after school for reasons unknown. So I trudged back inside and walked up to the library to get in some extra studying. The library was fairly small compared to the rest of our massive four story high school. But I managed to get the books I needed to study for a calculus test coming up.

There was a faint giggling I heard in another section of the library. I got up to see if there was any chance I could get complete silence. I turned around a shelf into a section that had a grove of tables and there sat Jet Stein. One of the most acknowledged and least give-a-bother students. He had pale blonde hair that was always swept aside from his face into bangs and a shorter cut towards the back, creamy pale skin, and shocking blue eyes. But his angelic appearance wasn't what shocked me, it was the little girl that he was standing up on the table that was an exact copy of him. She was being waddled along the top by Jet, and had her almost-white, blonde hair made into a ponytail, with a cute spring dress on. She was giggling as cute as possible and had rosy pink cheeks and the same blue eyes as Jet.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to intrude on you and your little sister. She's adorable.", I said when he looked up at me a little surprised to have been watched. He smiled and then laughed at me. I burst out in a big blush and shifted uncomfortably at the situation. "She's not my sister.", he replied with a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. Realization dawned on me.

"Oh, sorry.", I said lamely. He smiled then lifted her down off of the table. It was covered in books that applied to the same test I was taking. It was also was covered in empty juice pouches, animal crackers, and Eric Carle books. She looked up at him with a confused innocent look. "I want Nana.", she said in her cute toddler voice. "One second baby doll. I have to finish this paragraph.", he quickly dragged his hand across the page. "I'm studying for the same test, need any help?", I spoke up realizing I was just standing there watching him.

He said yes, so I rushed back and got my stuff. When I came back to set my stuff at the table, Ann had pacifier in her mouth and was holding 'A Very Hungry Caterpillar'. "I'm guessing that's Nana?", I gestured to the pacifier that Ann was sucking on. Jet looked up from his book and smiled, "You got it." My heart sunk a little for him. He was, I knew, single. And had to take care of Ann and keep up with his studies. I forced a happy smile and sat down next to him.
