Fall In Grace

Where the light shines dark,
In the lingering shadows.
What was once stark,
Is now a buried puzzle.

The world grows immense,
With hidden intrigue.
The heart is tense,
From her keen sense.

Emerald eyes glimmer,
Full of might and wisdom.
Tower in night,
Mocking with a shiver.

But tears are shed,
Her sorrow rising.
What was once a blessing,
Is now possessing.

And as the tears fall,
So does her fear.
Soon to become,
The following year.
