The Stormy Sea
The waves they crashed
the thunder called
its wild, loud call
to me.
The lightning struck
the clouds they raced
across the stormy sea.
The seagulls called
out to the tide
the tide called out to me,
and I? I ran for my life
away from the stormy sea.
The waves licked 'round my ankles
I begged, for my life did I plead
"Please don't take me away!" I cried,
"Release me, stormy sea!"
But the sea did not reply
and then ran away from me
I fell to my knees with a cry of relief
safe from the stormy sea.
