I was laughing so hard, I could barely drive straight. Today has been a blast! Especially since I was spending it with the guy I was madly in love with. I quickly looked over my shoulder to see how close he was to me but he was nowhere to be seen. I quickly turned my mud covered bike around and drove it back down the path I had come from, I slowed down so I could look around for his dirt bike or at least listen for it or something. Finally after a while I came up to his tire tracks, the suddenly lead off to a small path so I followed it. "Ryan?" I called over my engine as I drove slowly down the path. "Ryan?" I yelled again, I had been driving down this path for about five minutes already when I finally came up to Ryan's abandon bike laying on its side on the ground still running.

"Oh god!" I said under my breath, I was starting to fear that something bad had happened to him and a million different ideas started swarming their way into my mind making me even more scared then I already was. I quickly kicked my kick-stand down and turned off the bike. "Ryan?!" I yelled as I took off my helmet letting my long curly black with red stricken hair cascade down my back; hanging the helmet on my handle bar I got off my bike and ran over to his and turned it off. Now that both the bike's engine was killed everything was quite in the forest, which made me even more scared. "Ryan?" I yelled, looking around for any sign of him. Nothing is what I got back. "RYAN! PLEASE! IF THIS IS A JOKE IT'S NOT FUNNY!" I yelled into the forest.

Still I got nothing; no sounds of footsteps, no sounds of breathing, and no sounds of muffled laughter, no nothing. Tears started to form in my eyes scared that I had just lost the one thing that I had ever loved so much. "RYAN!" I screamed, the tears falling down my face. I quickly started running around the perimeter of the area to find him, I ran for at least five minutes wailing and screaming his name. Once I got back to the bikes I was sobbing my heart out. The one thing I loved the most in this world was killed by an animal or taken by a crazy psycho that lived in the forest. I feel to my knees with my face in my hands, sobbing as hard as I could; tears covered my face ruining my make-up. "Oh my god…this can't be happening." I said in between sobs.

A noise suddenly came from out of the bush in front of me; the bushes started shaking before a beautiful light brown gigantic wolf with amazingly beautiful green eyes stepped out onto the path and walked over to me, whining. I looked up and was immediately startled by this massive beast and quickly started back away from it sobbing even harder now. This could be the beast that had taken Ryan away from me…and now it was coming after me. "No! No! Please!" I yelled, sobbing as back away from it. The beast just kept walking towards me, whining, finally the monster had backed me up until I was trapped against the tree. "Please! Oh, god! Please!" I sobbed holding my hands out to shield myself.

The wolf lowered itself down onto it's belly and crawled over to me, whining still. Finally I realized that the beast was whining as it got closer to me, I slowly stopped sobbing and looked at it, "What a-are you-you wh-whining about?" I asked it, shuddering my words from sobbing so hard. I watched the canine slowly crawl his way over to me, I sniffled and whipped the tears from my eyes. The wolf sat up slowly and licked the back of my hand and looked up at me as if seeing what I'd do. I couldn't help but smile at this strange wolf; he didn't seem wild or mean, he was actually really nice and sweet. There was no way that this big beautiful animal could have harmed a person. "Hey there, big guy. Its okay." I said, my voice not wanting to get any louder than a whisper. I reached up slowly and ran my hand over the wolf's massive head, taming down it's wild mass of fur. "You wouldn't have happened to have seen my friend Ryan, have yea?" I whispered, smiling at him threw my tears.

The wolf whined as more tears fell down my face and he leaned his head into the inside of my palm and lied his nose against my forearm, whimpering. "I'm sorry, it's just…I think…I think I might be in love with this boy and he means so much to me." I whispered trying not to cry again. The beast whimpered one more time before he started licking at my forearms, "You're a sweet dog aren't y-"Before I could finish speaking the beautiful beast bite down on my forearm hard. I screamed out in pain as he teeth pierced threw my skin, I would have thought that after a while the pain would slowly go away but it seemed like it just kept growing and growing and soon I was in agonizing pain. This burning sensation started to form around the wound and the started spreading across my entire body. I looked around for the monster, trying to see threw the black spots the blurred my vision. "MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP!" I screamed out in pain. I fell over onto my side and clutched my arm to my chest screaming in pain. "MAKE IT STOP! PLEASE!" I wailed threw my tears.

Even threw all the pain my body was feeling I could feel the pair of strong muscular arms that wrapped themselves around me and pull me into this warm masculine chest. The embrace held nothing but protection and love as it held me to this unknown body. "Oh god, Aeri, I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry!" The person said; I instantly knew who it was by their voice. It was Ryan. He was trembling as he held me to his chest; he quickly turned me over so he could see my face. Once he looked upon my face that was covered in ruined make-up, soaked with tears, and twisted up in pain, his own face screwed up into complete horror and pain. "Oh god, this is all my entire fault! I can't believe I did this to you!" He sobbed softly, tears falling down his face and on to mine. I couldn't help but think even threw all the pain I was in how it was his fault that a wolf monster bites me and caused all this pain I was feeling.

"Just please close your eyes, Aeri." Ryan said to me, his eyes searching me face. He gently whipped away the tears from off my face and tucked a stray hair behind my ear before caressing my face in his hand and rubbing his thumb gently over my cheek. "Ryan….it-it hurts so much." I gasped threw the pain. "I know, Bic*. I know." He said, calling me by that sweet little name he gave me. "Just close your eyes, Bic, and I promise the pain will go away." He said his voice breaking as more tears fell from his eyes and streamed down his face. "But…I don't…want you to…leave me again." I gasped threw the pain. Ryan didn't bother to keep trying to hold back his tears anymore and he sobbed softly; he shook his head slowly as he ran his fingers threw my hair and rubbed his finger over my cheek again. "I promise I won't leave you, Aeri. I'll be right here the entire time. I promise." He whispered softly. My eyes slowly started to slide close as I felt his lips press against my forehead and then the world around me went into total darkness.

(*Bic is the Latin root word for genius and beautiful. It is also used in the Disney Original Movie 'Lady and The Tramp' where Tramp calls Lady Bic.)
