I carried a red umbrella, long after the dream had ended. The rain was washing away the heat from the last three days. It's never been this wet.

In the dream, it was still heaty, an evening sun relapsing into coma, illuminating the trees. From the far end of the straight road, I watched the people stream out of industrial factories. It could also have been a school for adults.

I saw the woman at the bus stop, struggling with her red umbrella, it had burst open suddenly, a spoke shooting out of the metal tubing where the handles was supposed to be. This think black spoke poked her left eye and i saw her stumble backwards.

Without knowing how I got so much closer, I stood next to her examining her eye. There was no puncture wound and it was bloodshot only in the upper left side of bloated white ball. Many balls in fact, merged absentmindedly, haphazardly into one odd shaped bulk and protruding from her socket. She didn't seem to be in pain and didn't seem to care. I said to her, "you better go to A&E" but she refused.

Later, outside the dream, when it was still raining, I leaving the back end of the community building. there, where a card was supposed to be parked, I saw the same umbrella, upside down and open, as if collecting the rain. It's black spoke pierced the grass that grew between concrete. I did not wish to take a photo of it, because it belonged to dream and to reality and not in any other medium.
