Chapter 1: History awaits

Ashley Disessa had just discovered a time machine cleverly hidden in the back of her father's lab. It was covered in dust, but she didn't mind. Since it was Saturday and she wanted to show off, she invited her friends Angelica and Rachel over to see the machine. They arrived at her house at exactly 5:00 p.m. "Hey Ash." Angel said with a lisp. Rachel got out of the car reading a manga called "Fruit Basket".

"Hey guys. Ready to see the machine?" Ash grinned from ear to ear. Angel and Rachel looked at each other and nodded. "Yes, but you get to pick where were going. We couldn't think of any place to go to." Rachel announced. Ash's teeth peeked out from her grin,"And I know just where we can go!"

Ash began pecking at the buttons on the machine. Angel looked at a screen as Ash pushed the buttons. When she was done, the screen said this:

Date: April 11, 1814

Place: Elba

Ash: 15 years old

Angel: 15 years old

Rachel: 15 years old

"Alright ladies, step inside." Ash pulled back a red curtain. The inside of the machine looked just like a photo booth. The three girls entered the machine and sat down. Ash grabbed a lever and looked at her friends,"Ready for this?" Her face showed determination and strength. Her friends nodded, the same feelings in their faces.

Ash pulled the lever quickly. A few seconds after, a bright blue aura circled the machine. The machine began to spin around quickly, and it made the girls sick to their stomachs.

All Ash could feel was a sense that she was falling. Falling into a long, deep abyss. Her body felt a tingling sensation. Suddenly, her 13 year old body began to transform into a 15 year old's. Finally. the abyss came to an end, and she was placed gently on the ground.

She was still for a very long time, but then she could hear children playing and laughing. A little boy tumbled from behind a bush, and a even bigger boy tumbled on top of him. They laughed as the bigger boy got off of the little boy.

The little boy covered his mouth and pointed to the elder girl lying down. His big brother ran over to the girl,"M'lady?" she mummbled something about the time. "It's almost noon," The little boy thought the girl had a date or even a wedding to go to, but if she was, why was she nude?

The girl rolled on her left side, and she revealed a large cut from her waist to her knee. The little boy jumped back when he saw the large cut. He grabbed his brother's arm,"Come on! We have to get her back to the house! She might die if we leave her here!" He tugged and pulled on his brother.

The brother quickly found a broken boat and pulled it near to where the girl was. Together, they put her in the boat and pulled her to their house.
