Road to Redemption
The Plaza, New York City
The Press surrounded the hotel, the reporters spoke to the cameras while many photographers took pictures causing many flashes to appear. In the Penthouse a man stood at the window he had short dark brown hair and looked to be in his late forties, he sighed as he sipped his glass of whisky and slowly undid the top button of his shirt.
"Don't worry sir, they will disperse eventually" A man dressed in a black suit said
"I know, it's just that everywhere I go this god dam circus seems to follow" answered Senator Dick Tomlinson
Just then the door to the room opened and a beautiful young woman walked into the room shadowed by two Secret Service agents. She was a good looking woman with lovely blonde hair and a warm kind face which looked like no evil could ever come from her. She smiled at the Senator when she spotted him and walked straight towards him ignoring the other Secret Service agents she could see in the room.
"Hi Daddy" She said giving him a kiss on the cheek
"Hey Sweetie" The Senator replied
"Seems your popular tonight" She muttered nodding towards the many agents visible inside the room
"Yes well Tim thought I could use a little extra protection" answered the Senator
"Of course, I should have known Tim had something to do with this" She snapped
"Oh come on now honey, there's no need to be so hard on Tim"
"Yes there is dad he's nothing but a parasite" She replied heatedly
"Anyone I know" a voice said
Both the Senator and his daughter looked around to see a man wearing a grey three piece suit walking towards them, he looked in his early thirties with short blonde hair and massive glasses that seemed to magnify his eyes.
"No Tim, don't worry about it" Said the Senator
"Whatever you say Dick" he replied shrugging his shoulders before his magnified eyes fell on the Senators daughter
"Hello Emily" He said with a weird smile that made Emily nearly gag
"Hi Tim" She responded quickly before she headed towards the window and looked at the crowds of press outside of the hotel.
Tim licked his lips as he watched her walk and proceeded to follow her. He stood next to her at the window and very slowly placed his right arm around her shoulder, she shuddered at the contact but Tim ignored it.
"You look very lovely tonight Emily" Tim whispered his lips an inch away from her ear
She then pushed him away and tried to slap him but he caught her hand and twisted it causing her to moan out in pain. He pushed himself closer to her so that none of the Secret Service agents could see what was going on.
"Emily, why do you try and push me away when we spent that amazing night together" He whispered
"You blackmailed me, you threatened to tell the police I was involved in that activist attack and also threaten to discredit my Father" She spat
"Well you should have never got involved with that group, especially being the daughter of a U.S. Senator who is currently trying to convince people to vote for the new act" he replied angrily
Finally he let go of her wrist and walked back towards her father who was reading different bits of paperwork on the couch. She turned back to the window and thought how cowardly she was; she wished she had the guts to fight against someone and not let anyone walk all over her. She looked up at the night sky and wondered if there was anybody out there that could show her how to stand up to insects like Tim.

The elevator opened and the man exited it to the sounds of phones ringing and people typing on their computers. This man was overweight and started to sweat due to the walk he made from his car and the California heat, he had very little hair on his head and he smelled strong of bad aftershave. His name was Howard Reese and he was one of the biggest business men on the West Coast, however his business dealings were sometimes a little illegal.
"Barbra can I get some coffee in here" He said opening the door to his office
He walked over to his desk and placed his briefcase down upon it, he was about to sit down when his phone began to ring. He sighed annoyed at how work seemed to start earlier every day.
"Howard Reese" He said answering the phone
"Mr. Reese, we need to talk" a voice replied
"Who is this"? Reese asked
"That doesn't matter, do me a favour Mr. Reese and look out of the window"
"Why"? "I want to know what this is about"
"Do you remember the deal you made with Mr. White"? The voice asked
"Yes" Reese mumbled
"Well he has something for you, so please come over to the window" The voice instructed calmly
Reese done as the voice asked and slowly approached the window of his office, he looked down at the street below but saw nothing out of the ordinary just people walking on the sidewalk and people cars go by.
"What does Mr. White want to give me"? Reese asked nervously
"This" The voice answered
A gunshot was then heard, a tiny bit of the window broke and Howard Reese fell to the floor with a bullet now lodged in his brain.

Across the street a man laid on the roof of a building holding a sniper rifle, he watched as the secretary of Howard Reese entered the office with his coffee and screamed when she discovered his body with a bullet wound right between the eyes. Another perfect shot the man thought to himself smiling.
This man had short brown hair and looked to be in his early thirties; he straightened up and pulled a cell phone out of his pocket.
"It's done" He said speaking
"Good, your payment is being transferred into your account now" The voice at the other end replied
"Pleasure doing business with you"
He then hung up the phone and looked back at his handy work before he proceeded to leave the rooftop before the police arrived.
