In the Field

It's summer. The sky is fading in dusk. It's still light enough though. On my left, Aiden is kicking an old soccer ball around. Lexie is dancing a beautiful ballet, one she makes up as her feet touch the grass. The field seems to go on forever, lush green all around us. I'm sitting on Sage's handlebars as her and Andie pedal over the bumpy terrain. The soft air flies around our shoulders as we laugh, as we smile. And we sing.
