Prologue

Setting and Time - Our Lunch Table during First Lunch, our seventh grade year, and we have just sat down, when Molly opens her mouth...

Molly – (Nervous, stuttering) "Guys, there's something we need to talk about."

Emily - (Concerned) "What's there to talk about, you okay?"

Molly - "Sorta, but you know how I've been going out with Josh?"

Emily - "Yeah, Molly get to the point I wanna eat."

Molly - "How would you feel if he and I were, umm...doing...uh?"

All (except Molly) - "Doing What?"

Molly - "Oh you know, doing...uh...it?"

All (except Molly) - "You What!"

Molly - "Sorry, we decided to take the next step in our relationship."

Eva – "In seventh grade?"

Jasmine - "Are you using protection, are you on the pill?"

Molly - "Yes for protection, no for the pill, but that's what I wanted to talk to you guys about."

Eva - "Oh no Molly, what happened, wait are you telling the truth? Because whether you are or not, I still don't care!"

Molly - "Yes, I am Eva, and you should care because it's important. Now let me finish; this is hard enough as it is. Um, the last time we did it we used a condom, and the condom kinda, um, well I took this test and um… little pink plus sign?"

Emily - "Oh no Molly your only twelve."

Molly - "Twelve and a-half!"

Emily - "LIKE IT MATTERS!"

Jasmine - "What, what?"

Eva- "Jazzy, can't you see; Molly's pregnant!"

All (except Eva) - "SHHHHHHHH!"

Amy - "You know Molly you've always been a real pain in the ass, but this time you've gone too far!"

Molly - "I'm sorry; it's not my fault the condom broke!"

Tyra - "Yeah it was; you're the one who agreed on having SEX!"

All (except Tyra) - "(Gasping), you said!"

Tyra - "Yes, I did"

Emily - "Girls we gotta do something!"

Eva – "OK" (Gets up and walks away.)

Emily – "Eva!" (Gets up and brings Eva back.)

Tyra – "Well, I agree, Molly, how far along are you?"

Molly - "I don't know, I only took the test yesterday, and if any of you think I'm gonna tell my mom, you're crazy, there is no way she's gonna find out about this one, because I'll never hear the end of it!"

Tyra - "Okay you don't have to tell your mom yet."

Molly - "Still hanging on to the yet."

Emily - "Let's look at the possibilities."

Jasmine - "Possibilities? Oh yeah Molly you really should of taken the pill."

Molly - "But then I would have had to tell my mom, and as we know we are not to bring my mom up in this, okay?"

All (except Molly) – "Okay!"

Emily - "(Sighing) Well, back to the possibilities Jazzy like, abortion, adoption, and keeping it. Molly, do us all a favor and don't keep it, but if you do decide to keep it Molly, we'll all help, right girls?"

All (except Molly) – "Oh yeah sure."

Emily – "I knew something was wrong when you said Juno was your role model, but in my opinion Molly, you should get an abortion."

Molly – "I don't remember saying that."

Emily – "Well you did, in science, last year. You never remember anything."

Molly – "Except specific dates of fun things we do."

Eva – "I thought you were Pro-life?"

Emily - "I guess in some cases, but no I'm Pro-choice, I believe that if a person wants to terminate the pregnancy it's their own choice no one else's. I don't believe in it morally, but it should be illegal. And then there are medical reasons I could go into, about having to terminate the pregnancy to save the mother's life. And then there are environmental and financial reasons. By environmental I mean population control. I mean, you ever look at China. And…"

Eva - "Okay, we get it, you have a lengthy explanation."

Jasmine – "SO… was it fun?"

All (except Jasmine) - "Jazzy, what the hell was that for, that has nothing to do with anything!"

Jasmine - "Sorry, I was just curious, but seriously, if you're gonna do it; it might as well be fun. I mean come on, if it's not fun, it's worthless."

Emily - "Jazzy, shut the hell up!"

Jasmine – (Sarcastically) "Whoa, attitude."

Emily - "Hey, can we all get together at my house today! We all definitely need to talk, where we can make sure the entire school doesn't overhear?"

Eva – "Sure, Amy and I don't have anything today."

Amy – (Sarcastically) "God damn it! Must you always speak for me Eva, you know I have a voice! Get that through your head because you know I hate it when you do this!"

Eva - "Whatever, Amy!"

Tyra - "Yeah, I can, Girl Scouts was canceled."

Emily – "I can't believe you still do scouts."

Tyra – "Bitch." (Sticks tongue out at Emily.)

Emily – "Back to you." (Rolls eyes)

Molly - "Yeah, same as Tyra, our troop meeting was canceled. Damn you mother!"

Jasmine - "Well, I can, because my brothers and sister have doctor's appointments, yes! Stab them with needles! "

All (except Jasmine) – "Okay…"

Emily - "Of course I'm free, so let's get together at my house, soon as school ends. It's best because no one will be home, and my internet doesn't have everything blocked, Molly, so we can look up everything."

Molly - "Hey it's not my fault that my parents have parental blocks on everything!"

Tyra – "Yeah it is."

Amy – "Tyra, shut it!"

Emily - "Okay, so is that all right with you girls?"

All (except Emily) - "Sure, why not…"

Eva – "This is gonna end badly."

Emily – "Negative, aren't you"

Brrring!

Molly - "Oh great the bell, we'll talk about this after school, okay?"

All (except Molly) - "Okay, see you later, Molly."

Emily and Eva - "Oh Great, we didn't even get to eat!"

(We all walk to class)
