M.E, you are my nemesis.

You are my nemesis,

Where I choose to put my feet,

you raise a mountain.

Where I find faith and strength,

you break me till my eyes run like a fountain.

Where I search for certainty,

you create confusion.

Where I find hope for better days,

you have created an illusion.

You are my nemesis,

You make me ache,

with my every move,

At night you keep me awake,

and never grant me rest.

You make me lose track,

of every idea and plan I create.

You leech my energy that I already lack,

without ever taking a break.

You are my nemesis,

You have taken my grades,

despite that I was smart.

You have taken my friends,

despite that I had heart.

You have taken my work,

despite that I impressed.

You have taken my self-esteem,

despite that I always did my best.

You are my nemesis,

But I will scale your mountain and every blockade,

I will dry my tears,

I will wait for that breakthrough and aid,

I will have faith in a better future.

I will conquer the aches that I cannot ignore,

I will find rest and peace in those who I love,

I will find a pen and paper and rely on them more,

I will treasure what energy I have.

You are my nemesis,

But I will not yield even if that is what it seems,

I will bide my time and fight,

For my fiancée, my family, my hopes and dreams,

until you come out of hiding and I will finally be alright.
