Footsteps echo

Through this old

Hallway in which

Is abandoned

The white paint is peeling

The tile is cracking and

The doors creak

And the whispers of

Teenagers whispering

In the past fill the silence

I walk to your locker

And touch it smiling

At our memories

I put in the code and open it up

It creaks open

I see a journal

I wipe off the dust

Like its made outta glass

I pick it up gently

And hug it to my chest

I slide down and the tears start falling

I remember your smile

The way you laughed

And how you used to love this old school

Your hugs were the best

It was meant to be

We were sculpted to fit to each other

When we held hands

Your big one covered my small one

I remember how we were

Talking about

Running away and seeing the world

But now we can't do that

And now all I have are the last pieces to our puzzle
