Come Back To Me

In the Kingdom of the North, a war was declared against the Southern kingdom and the Eastern kingdom. The war was clearly going to last for several years and the Northern and Western kingdoms realised they were at risk and they too became at war with each other, the king of the North, Damon, decided to join his sibling Peter, king of the East. They fought bravely but seeked the help of Damon's step-son and his army. His step-son was of course heir to the throne, both his and his wife were. Their marriage was arranged by their parents however they soon fell in love after meeting each other at their engagement ball. When they first looked at each other, crystal blue eyes met dark green ones in an enchanting dance. The sort of look you would get off a child who had just seen the biggest chocolate bar of their dreams, the two danced all night until the time to say good bye to the guests had come. They had never been regretful about marring one another, or upset with their decisions. Until now.

"Crystal, my love" The prince called out in the vast room, belonging to him and his wife, Crystella. He had expected a 'Here, my prince' but all he heard was sobbing coming from under the covers of the king sized bed they shared.

"Crystella?" He asked again walking over to her side of the bed. Kneeling down he gently pulled the covers off exposing her red, puffy tear stained face and shaking body. The beautiful light blue gown he mother had made her was now wrinkled as she was in the form of a ball, rolled up so her knees nearly touched her forehead. The prince delicately moved a strand of curled, mousey brown hair from her face afraid that if he made the wrong move she would brake like a valued china pot. Looking down at her he smiled softly as an attempt to cheer her up however this made her brake down in tears again. Gently he picked her up and laid were she previously was, placing her on top of him. She clenched his shirt in her hand, crying into his chest as he stroked her hair lovingly, hoping that this would stop the flow of tears. She lifted her head from his chest to look at him. Once again crystal eyes met dark green, this time the crystal eyes looked depressed, longing for him to comfort her… to be with her. He sighed sadly; he knew this would be hard for her. Her father was killed in a war and she didn't want to lose him like she did her father. She placed her head back on his chest as he breathing steadied and her grip on his shirt loosened.

"Come back to me" She whispered.

He nodded, kissed her head gently before pulling the covers over them, ready for their last night in the castle together.
