Prologue:

-.-.-.-.-.-

People nowadays think that being different is a deadly sin, if you aren't the same as them or think the same things as they do, you are a freak and an outsider. You hide the real you to just fit into their world, loosing yourself in the progress. Sometimes, you'd do anything to be normal and right in the eyes of the people you want to make proud, even if you are denying the one you love and who you really are.

I see that happening to one of my loved ones, I see him fighting to stay 'normal'. But it is destroying him slowly, he cannot see that it is. And he cannot see how it's affecting the people around him. We love him for who he is and we will continue to love him no matter what, he is ours and he is perfect to us. But the boy refuses to see it. He wants to be the same as everyone else.

Can I make him see how amazing he really is in our eyes? In the only one meant to love him's eyes? Or is he lost to us forever? Doomed to be a slave to the main steam world, the old fashioned views of the world? No, I won't let that happen, I'll show him that being normal is being who you were born to be. Not who others think you should be.

Hopefully he'd listen to me and let his new friends show him a whole new view of the world with brand new eyes. He will need us more than ever to become who he was destined to be and who he wishes to be. I won't give up on him. And more importantly, the man that loves him won't give on him.

He will not be able to fight him off, push him away, because we won't let the dragon boy deny happiness for himself and the prince. I lived through that and I know the pain that comes with it.

I won't let him deny love, in every way….

Welcome back to the world of fairy tales. Another story is just beginning, so hang on…

The Beinning

"Watch out, Safen!"

Mattie called out to me as she moved in front of me, blocking the demon with her sword and swiftly killing it in one move, breathing hard and sweating feverly.

The Nights are very lively these days, we battle one of them at least a day now between trying to be semi-normal college students but I guess that is almost impossible to do seeing where we go to school and who we are, I chuckled at that before a mighty growl caused us both to groan deeply and we turned to see another demon charging towards us, fangs bared:

"Here we go again! These guys never know when to quit!" I yelled as I ran towards the beast, hitting him once he was in my range.

"Yup! Tell me when you're ready for me."

I nodded before I kicked his legs from underneath him, causing him to fall but he quickly strike back with a sweep of his reddish paw.

The demons were getting more and more bold when it comes to fighting. I think the Hellish princess wanted to get a handle on us before the next battle to tip our hands in the War, but knowing my friends and myself, I knew we wouldn't give her the pleasure of winning over us, we will show them that good will always win against evil. The day will forever rule over the dark night.

I grinned at my thoughts and moved to the other demon again, ready to fight to forget my problems for a little while more, knowing as soon as the fight was over, I would have deal with them once more. What are my problems? You'll see as we move forward.

I jumped into the air, stretching out one leg as I came into reach of the demon. He roared loudly, the sound bouncing off the alley's walls, as he tried to claw me out of the sky but my kick came too quickly for him and he crashed to the floor, unable to move and dead to the world around him.

I nodded to my future sister-in-law to finish this one off as I flipped over the body of the fallen demon.

I heard May take a deep breath and her sword moving before her scream shook the walls as she raced towards the demon, a fierce look in her light green eyes.

And this is why she is my brother's mate, she is strong. I smiled proudly at how smoothly and well we work together.

His body disappeared into dust as soon as her sharp sword went through the fur and flesh. She sighed before turning to me with that award-winning smile placed on her pink lips:

"Nice moves, bro. Years of training sure did sharpen your body, huh?" The red head put the weapon back in it's holder at her hip. I chuckled as I walked to her.

"Now you see why I didn't want a weapon. I already had one with me."

Let me explain: I don't have a weapon like the others in our group; my body is as good as a sharp sword or a bow and arrow after the years I spent studying fighting. I didn't need a weapon when my body moves smoothly and swiftly, I just need someone or a dagger with me to dust the nasty creatures when they are down.

"Yup, cuts my work down a bit, I love when I am paired with you."

"Don't let my brother hear you say that." I teased, laughing when my little reddy stuck her tongue out at me. After that, we slipped into a comfortable silence as we made our way back to her chair, and my mind went to thoughts of tomorrow making me feel nervous.

Tomorrow, my life will change forever and it will never be the same. Tomorrow, it won't be just my friends and family I will have to worry about. Tomorrow, I'll have new responsibilities and new memories to make. Tomorrow, my mate will be coming to Twilight to study dance, and he won't be easy to convince that we were born to love each other. I'll have to chase him hard and I wouldn't give up on him, no matter how much he pushes me away. His name is Joni Kyo Summers, and he's stubborn just like his cousin, Avery Marie Snaw. He is denying who he is and who he wants to be, as Blondie puts it. I sighed deeply, my heart sinking, I have my work cut out for me.

"Thinking about tomorrow, big bro?" Mattie's voice brought me back from my head and I looked to find her beautiful green eyes were filled with concern and worry. I smiled small at her, ruffling her rich red hair, causing a few strands to fall from her braid:

"Yeah, I'm a little worried about it, but don't worry ok? I'll be fine, I can deal with it on my own." The pixie sighed as she shook her head and she turned to me, her eyes shining with emotions that rooted my feet to the ground.

"You know you wouldn't be able to handle this on your own, Safen. Chase and Eddie had a hard time getting us to trust them as boyfriends, mates, and equals. But you will have twice the trouble with Kyo, seeing you are both men. You need to remember that the human world is still holding some of the old views on homosexuality, some people hate it, and its hard for some of the people who are homosexual to accept it. He'll need friends to talk to when you drop the bomb on him, Avery said that he's weak and he was beaten a lot by his birth parents for that, so his trust ability is damage. You need to take your time with him, become friends with him and make him see that he can trust you, and then you could slowly reveal things to him. But don't do this on your own, you need to trust in us too to get the thing you're living for."

I blinked rapidly, shocked at her firm tone, seeing that she was usually quiet and shy. Why is she so strong about this? I smiled when the answer hit me and hugged her short frame to my freakish tall one. The answer is she cares for me and her soon new friend, that's just how she is.

"I promise I'll let you guys help us. You're right, I can't do this alone. If Kyo is anything like his cousin, he'll give me a run for my money, and I'll need as much as help I can get."

Avery Snaw—First Person—

-.-,.-.-.,-

The sun beat down on the city's train station as the busy people buzzed around me. I smiled at the few that smiled kindly at me, placing my hand on my semi-swollen stomach and my eyes searching for the ink black and blonde streaked head of my baby cousin.

Today is the day a brand new story starts to be filled on the pages, and this story will be like no other.

I shifted my eyes to the cloudless blue sky of Paris, France, my mind rushing with thoughts of the up-coming months as a sigh escaped from my lips. Kyo will have a new view of his life by the end of the year, but getting there will be bumpy for all of us.

I don't know how to deal with something like this and I know it'll be the hardest thing we will face, but I will do anything for Kyo. And I believe the group feels the same, although some of them just met him three months ago. They know what he would go through, yes his mate's also male, but falling in love and finding who you are is hard for anyone at nineteen, and he has been struggling with himself for years now.

Hopefully the time he spends at the magical school and the people he will meet will help awaken the true Joni. Hopefully he won't give poor Safen a too hard of time but we mateies are known to drive our maters crazy at first, unwillingly or willingly we do. I chuckled just as a soft male voice called out to me, causing to turn around:

I smiled at the young man running towards me with a boyish grin on his full pink lips. His shoulder-length black and blonde hair was tied into a tiny ponytail at the nape of his neck. His stunning golden eyes were dancing with happiness as he waved his semi-small hand in the sky, his footsteps echoing off the stone walls. I smiled at his childish excitement, thinking he hadn't changed one bit, and started to wheel towards him, meeting him halfway.

"Hey little cousin, how was your trip here?" I asked as we embraced tenderly.

"Tiring but good. I'm glad to be here finally though; I need to get the sceat of traveling off me."

I laughed as he shuddered, patting his hand:

"Ok funny boy, the school is just a block from here. Come on." He grinned again at his nickname and followed close behind me.

As we continued down the sidewalk in a comfortable silence, my mind went back to it's earlier thoughts:

Today marks the beginning of a new fairy tale, a fairy tale that will make you wonder and want to take a new look at the world around you.

The pages are set, are you? Because we are starting:

Once upon a time, there was a lonely boy and the boy was waiting for someone, someone special. But who was this special person, and why was the boy waiting for them? Well, the lonely boy wasn't sure, all he knew was someone was coming to save him from his prison…
