A Romantic Poem in Free Verse.
I write this poem for you, my dove,
How romantic is our love.
A thousand poets could not utter
Three tenths of what we mean to one another.
Every time I see your face, I feel as though a
Veil has been lifted from the world,
And all is sun and happy days.
Let us never part, my dearest one,
Else I know I must surely die.
Now, tell me of your love for me,
Till you have no words left to speak.
I will sit at your feet and gaze into your eyes,
Not moving or doing anything lest I disturb
Everything and make a mess of your oh
So romantic declarations of endless love,
Devotion,
Adoration, and I hope that
You feel the same way about me.
