Summer Twilight
Author:
Taylor Hatake PM
A poem my naruto character wrote for her best friend, who died in my story. Enjoy. And please, this is my first attempt at a poem. It sucks, I know. Give me a break. And also, inspired by a Kazuhiko Inoue song. A very beautiful and kinda sad sounding song for me. I love it though.

A soft summer breeze
Gently sweeps my hair back
Listen to the crickets

As they chirp happily
The birds as they sing us their beautiful lullaby
I look up to the sunset

As you run through
the farmland
I follow closely

Though
as I am close to you,
you are yet so far away

As I glance up to the darkening sky
A question plays through my head;
Why is it that the things we adore
So endlessly distant?

Ah!
A question the Goddess
Could only answer

Meow!

Ah!
I look and find a cat.
Could that be you?

Taylor!

I spin around to the sound of my name
I thought I hear you
Was that you?

Listen to the soft summer breeze
as it blows my hair back
The red sky touching my pale skin

I look around
Who is that I see in the distance?
It isn't you.

I see him.
I bid you goodbye
Dear friend

As I am being called home
