A very short first chapter and the introduction to the story.

Expect slow updates for this story, as I write it in dutch first and then translate it to English, while working on other stories as well, so yeah...

A half moon graced the night sky and looked down at the houses under her. In most homes the light were still on, just like in the house of the family Hesselink. In the living room, Mike was standing in front of Kim, he had spent part of the evening there and was planning to return home. He stroke her cheek and gently kissed her. He still loved her, even now. And she felt so warm. He kissed her tenderly on the lips, then on the cheek and went to her neck.

Kim tilted her head slightly to give him access, clearly she enjoyed the kisses. Her scent was intoxicating. Mike kissed her on the neck and opened his mouth slightly. Long fangs were visible and he licked her neck. Delicious. And he was thirsty.

His otherwise brown eyes were now red and they started to fill with horror when he realized what he was about to do. Mike took in a deep breath and he closed his eyes. With some effort he took some distance from her, and when he looked at her his eyes were brown again. He smiled at her, showing nothing but ordinary teeth.

"I'd better go. Goodbye, Kim. "He gave her a kiss on the lips and went away immediately. He would never forgive himself if he would do something to her, but he was thirsty. When was the last time he had drank blood? It must have been two days ago, his first victim. Mike shook his head, that was one memory he'd rather forget.
