Be a Fighter
Author:
The Amazing Steve PM
My grandfather is in the hospital, and my mother is extremely upset. I wrote this as a reminder to myself to keep on going with life. Inspired by "The Fighter" by Gym Class Heroes.

It's times like these
when loved ones hurt,
therefore you hurt.
Their pain
is your pain.
You want to break down,
let the tears flow,
But be strong
For her.
For yourself.
For everyone grieving.
Show her happiness,
when all they see is sadness.
Stay strong,
don't let tears escape
in front of her.
Remind her of
good times,
not bad,
not now.
Fight through it,
through the pain,
sadness,
suffering.
Don't break down,
don't break down.
Hold it in,
be strong,
stay strong.
Give her a reason
to be happy.
Give her a reason
to have hope.
Show her happiness,
and she will follow.
Don't worry,
it'll be ok,
everything will be alright
soon.
Show hope,
and she will follow.
Give hope,
when all is wrong,
stay strong,
hold in the tears,
keep her tears away.
Even when
there's no hope,
have hope.
Even when his pulse is gone,
and all is lost,
paint blue skies
over the grey.
It'll be alright
someday.
Be strong.
Stay strong.
Have hope.
Be a fighter.
