Betrayal

"Betrayal. Never thought I'd use that word to describe you. How could you do this to me?" More a poem on how friendships can break and end, but... Eh. Enjoy anyway. "Yet whatever made you think that for just a moment you could actually get away with this?"

Betrayal.

Never thought I'd use that word

To describe you.

But after all we've done,

The dreams we've shared,

The tears I've shed,

You just left me behind.

Traitor.

You worthless cur.

How could you do this to me?

You don't even know

What you did.

You pathetic, insolent...!

But I digress.

I shouldn't let anger

Get the better of me.

I am, after all,

A lady.

You should know by now

That you can't trick me for long.

Wanting to hurt you...

Well I know how.

You'll have to learn

Your place again.

I see you've gotten

Out of hand.

Through violence,

Or manipulation,

I'll teach you to never

Betray me again.

Hm.

Your heart is weak.

Your body is mine.

I hold your soul

In my hand.

Yet whatever made you think

That for just a moment

You could actually

Get away with this?

Idiot.

You impudent little snip.

You don't have the strength

To defy me twice.

I'm too merciful

For my own good.

You know that.

Your disloyalty

Amazes me.

What made you think

You had a chance?

That's what you don't

Quite understand, I believe.

Sir,

You're mine.

You always have been.

And you always will be.

You go out of line

Just one more time,

And I will not hesitate

To shatter you.

Through swords or words,

I will break your spirit.

This is not a threat,

But a promise.

Don't mess with

A lady.

Don't deal with me.

You've forgotten already.

I own you.

You are mine.

You will do as I say.

And you will not question me.

Pity we have to do this.

But you just couldn't be happy.

No, you had to be...

A traitor.

Betrayal.

Definitely not a word

I would've put with you.

But now I can only wonder:

How many other lies

Have you told?

How many promises

Have you broken?

And how many times

Were you not there?

How many times

Have you broken me?

Do I know you,

Sir?

Amuse yourself

With your idea of

"Knowing" me.

Since you obviously don't.

Traitor.

Idiot.

Don't hide.

Don't run.

Because I always catch my prey.
