Fukono's Legacy
Preface:
My story was developed all thanks to reading the Polpoh Vuh. I was fascinated in how the gods would create humans, backlash would occur, and soon they would destroy the gods and start from the beginning. After several tries, the gods would create the perfect humans which would be how we were created today.
My story is about a goddess, who's name is Takiyama Fukono. Fukono would develop the origin of Central Union High School and fill it with students. Like the Polpoh Vuh story, Fukono's creation of the students didn't go as planned which resulted in starting over and rebuilding students.
During the early 20th century when Central Union High School was recently established, the school was secretly developed by a goddess but disguised as a third year student named Takiyama Fukono. Not only had she, created the school, but Takiyama Fukono filled it with hundreds of students. Therefore, Takiyama would watch the students happily talk and live their high school years. However, very little people knew about her since she was always the skittish, lonely student who most people wouldn't take a second glance at her. However, that didn't mean Takiyama wouldn't provide terrible dictatorship over the students. On the contrary, she would do everything in her power to provide entertainment and happiness for the students: club activities, sports, assemblies, and much more.
The only offering she would want back in exchange is someone to confront her and give her one thing: acceptance. Takiyama Fukono would walk around school and see groups of students talking, laughing, and playing. One day, Takiyama wanted someone who would walk up to her and provide the friendship and love to her loneliness. Even with the very few people Takiyama knew, she was always a lonely person with no friends.
However, the students have been very stubborn by refusing to accept Takiyama as a friend. Excuses such as her being "different" and a "false god" hardened the hearts of the students. Although Takiyama had been merciful to the students for one year, she decided that they had been too corrupt to accept her as themselves. Takiyama, with a heart full of sadness and anguish, sent down an orb of light to every single student which made them sleep. From there, their hearts will stop their beating which will cause them to die peacefully.
However, before all of the student's souls were taken away to the afterlife, Takiyama grabbed a handful of souls and developed them into ghosts. These ghosts would soon haunt the Central Union High School gym, which at night future dwellers would hear the sounds of cheering and laughing of students playing or spectating basketball matches.
Takiyama Fukono understood that mistakes happen when it comes to creating students, which she humbly admitted that she wasn't the perfect goddess. Therefore, she tried again to create another hoard of students for Central Union High School. Surprisingly, there had been progress. Several students have befriended and accepted Takiyama not only as a goddess but as a friend. However the entire school hadn't noticed their goddess which therefore they continued living with their worldly school activities. Soon enough, the friends which Takiyama bonded with abandoned and forgotten about her.
Like what she did with the previous group of students, Takiyama brought forth orbs of light down to the students and caused this new group of students eternal rest. For those whom Takiyama befriended earlier, she kept their souls and planted them around the schools. From there, the souls flourished into gigantic trees which they would shade future students from the sun's unmerciful heat.
Sitting in front of the library steps of Central Union High School, Takiyama couldn't help but feel tears brimming her eyes and streaming down her cheeks. She didn't want to repeat the cycle of developing and destroying new students, for they were the work from her loving hands. Plus they were like the children which she never had, but-
"But how?" Takiyama wiped her eyes with her long sleeve shirt, "How can I make these students accept me for who I am?" She stood up and walked up to the library. She saw her own clothes from the reflection: A blue skirt and a white collared shirt.
"Okay, maybe I'll try one last time," Takiyama said, her voice full of confidence, "Hopefully this time, this new creation…will be perfect."
For the third and final time, Takiyama developed a new group of students for this school. However, Takiyama quietly vowed that whether the students would accept her or not, Takiyama would forever leave this world and let these students live their happy school years.
Like the first and second attempt, the new creation of students didn't remember the goddess who created them. They lived the lives without accepting Takiyama Fukono. However there was one strange thing she noticed from the students. For some reason, the students began wearing blue and white colors…the colors which Takiyama always loved. Not only that, but the students created a symbol of a Spartan…the same Spartan which Takiyama would draw whenever she was always lonely during most of her spare time.
With happiness filling her heart, Takiyama considered going back to the again. But she couldn't, for she vowed never to come back. However one day, for she personally didn't know when, Takiyama would come back to Central Union High School and walk down the same hallways, front steps, and buildings which she created. But until then, as she looked at the school which is flourished with her favorite colors and her favorite Spartan drawing being known as the school mascot, Takiyama decided to finally put her work to rest. Until then, like a guardian angel who protects a hero from difficult hardships, Takiyama Fukono will watch over Central Union High School with her loving eyes.
