I had to write this for school, and my teacher liked it a lot, so I guess I'll post it here if nowhere else. I haven't decided if this is me yet. I don't think it is. But this is kind of emo, just a warning...

You're more than the moon but less than the sun.

Yet the stars bear no gift of emotion.

When I've lost all morale, I seek your help.

Your words soothe like the waves of an ocean.

Old times for playing are "gone with the wind."

But ice was still frozen, and skies still blue.

However, there have been some days I fear,

When the ice won't stop melting around you.

I sleep with the trees in the summer breeze,

Empty-handed, secured with strands of grass

There are dreams of black, cloudless, melting skies.

This reaches your ears; you shatter like glass.

My love's not just handed to anyone.

And did I mention that I hate the sun?
