(Prologue)

"APOLLO!" the King of the Gods thundered. The sun god looked up suddenly at the other Olympians gathered in their throne room. He pushed his dirty blonde hair from his face, exposing his beautiful, blue eyes.

"Yes Father?" Apollo asked.

"Where were you all day today?" Zeus asked suspiciously.

"Driving the sun across the sky." He answered without hesitation. Despite being the god of Truth, he could still lie quite convincingly.

"Were you? Or were you lounging around at the beach flirting with mortal women and neglecting your job?" Zeus accused him. "Do not bother to lie again, Poseidon saw you on a beach in San Diego."

"Fine, I took a break. Who cares?" Apollo said dismissively. He caught the warning look Hermes threw him too late.

"You are too irresponsible and you must be punished!" his father announced.

"Perhaps he could sort all the books in the library. They are greatly out of order and new books come every day." Athena suggested.

"He could work in my forges" Hephaestus volunteered.

"He could be my training dummy" Ares grinned evilly.

"He could hold my mirror while I do my makeup!" Aphrodite exclaimed.

"That would truly be torture" Artemis said under her breath. Aphrodite took most of the day to put on her makeup and her mirror weighed a ton.

"What was that Artemis?" Hera asked.

"Nothing…" she said.

"He should work on a farm!" Demeter threw in.

"I have an idea" Hera announced regally. The throne room quieted.

"We shall send him to earth," she began. Apollo smiled. He loved going to earth. "Without his powers, as a teenager, and send him to high school." She finished.

The sun god's smile turned to a frown. Zeus was deep in thought. Apollo looked to his favorite brother and best friend, Hermes, for help. The messenger just shrugged and shook his head.

"It is decided!" Zeus's voice boomed through Olympus, "Apollo will attend high school without powers. You will start as a junior and will stay until you have learned to be responsible and less selfish." The sky thundered and Apollo blacked out.
