I wrote this for a descriptive essay we were assigned in English last semester, and I've done a few touch-ups since then. I hope you like it. :)

The sound of the leaves blowing in the trees and on the ground was calming music as I walked through the woods of my favorite park. The leafed and bare trees cast moving shadows on the walking trail, giving me a certain pleasant feeling that reflected the beauty of such a natural, every day thing. The dry leaves skittering across the ground and crunching under my feet was a wonderful reminder of one of my favorite times of year. Along with that were the crisp aroma of leaves and the sound of geese honking as they casually flew overhead in the blue sky. In these woods, there is no sound other than the calm and beauty of nature.

Walking through these woods brought back great memories of when I was younger. My family would take walks, and my former school had many marathons there. It wasn't just the comforting memories that brought on these feelings, but it was the gorgeous day. The sun was enough to lift my spirits, but the red, orange, yellow, and green leaves dancing with the trees in the wind brought life to everything around me. The unseen birds cheerfully chirped above me or off in the distance. The sound of wind chimes at a nearby house drifted through, giving a little music to fall's yearly dance. Whoever owns the chimes is lucky to live by such a resplendent place.
