My first fight.
I stood there in shock for a few minutes. Reuben had his laser aimed at my head.
And He was willingly ready to shoot.
"Reuben, don't be to haste here. You don't need to do this." I said backing away, hiding my laser. I didn't want to show him I was armed.
"Your right, I don't need to do this, I want to do this." He said grinning as he shot at me. I barely dodged.
"Why must we fight brother?" I asked him.
"Because you are the Heart of the Island. Destined to help save the Island from creatures and people like me. That makes us no longer brothers, now we are sworn enemies." He said shooting me into a tree. I felt my chest burn from the shot.
"How did you know about that?" I asked him standing up. His cold dagger like eyes were pinned on me, man they reminded me of Dad's.
"I overheard your conversation with the wolf. I've been looking for you, I must be the only survivor of our family. So no one will know what hit them when I take over the Island." He said coldly.
"Well, then I better run for my life." I said running away. I only made it a short way before Reuben had shot my back right foot. I fell over panting.
Man did it hurt.
Reuben approached me casually and looked me in the eyes. I stayed on the ground and made no threatening gestures.
"Prepare to die." He said taking aim at my head. On instinct, I did something neither me or Reuben expected.
I Took my laser. And shot him before he could pull the trigger on his. Reuben hit a tree and looked at me shocked. This gave me time to get on my feet. We both stared at each other for what seemed like an hour.
"Well someone got some guts." Reuben mocked as he took aim again. I Took aim at him and we fired simultaneously. The resulting mini explosion knocked us feet away.
We both panted, I was injured worse then him and I knew I couldn't take another well aimed hit. A shot to he chest or head would kill me.
"Nighty night Bunnies." I heard Francis say. He was obviously behind us. I wasn't getting up. I'd rather him finish me then Reuben.
To my surprise, he didn't kill us, instead a sweet smelling gas was used to knock us out. Me and Reuben glanced at each other before passing out. We both knew this was bad.
