TEMPUS FUGIT
Time flies and marches on
Entering the mouth of fate
Moody and corrupt its
Perpetual pace stymied
Unto love's cold embrace.
Surrounded by memory's stalwart gait
Flees to seas in yonder wake.
Undo time spent, lost at sea,
Go hence then away from thee.
Into the abyss from whence it came
To wind itself up and back again
