I made it longer, I felt it was too short for a chapter that introduces new characters.
I HOPE I DON'T DISAPPOINT!

"Uh... What?" Justice confused.

"People... They're dying."

"Yeeah... That's what people do..."

Skylar shrugs and walks past Justice, she turns around just before leaving.
"Thanks again, but you should probably cover that up." She points to the gash on Justice's forehead. "...They can smell blood."
With that she exits.

Justice wipes the blood from her forehead and covers it up with her bangs.
She's more confused than ever and wants answers.

She catches up to Skylar who is just passing the gymnasium.
"Wait...What do you mean by 'they'? Who's 'they'?" Justice stops her.

Skylar turns around with a grim look on her face.
Justice starts up again, "There's something you're not telling me."

Skylar opens her mouth to say something, but is interrupted by someone shouting.

"WE CAN'T STAY HERE!"
Both girls turn their heads to the gym doors.

"It came from in there." Skylar whispers.
They slowly move closer the door.
Justice reaches for the door handle while Skylar lags behind her.

She rips open the door so fast a gust of wind makes the girls hair fly.

Justice rubs her eyes while Skylar catches a glimpse of someone ducking under the bleachers.
"Hey! Who's over there?!" Skylar calls.

A built, mixed race teenager wearing the school's red and black school varsity jacket steps out from behind the bleachers with a confused look on his face.

"They're just girls." The guy says as he walks over to them.

"Who is he talking to?" Justice whispers into Skylar's ear.

"Hi, Hunter Spade, eleventh grader. I've never seen you girls around."
Skylar blushes at his handsome features and chizzled physique, Hunter smirks at her reaction.

"Skylar Vallie." She avoids eye contact, but a grin starts to set in. "Ninth grader, but I don't go here."
Hunter raises his eyebrows.

Justice knows who Hunter Spade is, he flirts with every attractive nieve girl at this school.
She rolls her eyes.

The sixteen year old notices and looks to Justice, "sorry, what did you say your name was again?"

"I didn't." Justice says coldly.

"Okay then..."

Another boy emerges from behind the bleachers also wearing a varsity jacket.
The brown haired, blue eyed caucasian teen walks over to the group.
"Oh, they really are just girls."

A smile begins to creep onto Justice's lips... She knows who that is, too.

He sticks out his hand to Justice first.
"Drew, Drew Hampton."

She takes his hand.
"Justice Riley."

"... Oh shit...You're the girl I hit with the baseball, right?"

"Huh, I don't know? Aren't you a football player?"

"Yeah, but don't you remember this morning? Where the ball came onto the football field and I threw it back... smacking you in the head?" He questions biting his bottom lip.

She let's go of his hand and steps a few feet back.
"It was you?... You knocked me out?..."

"Y-you don't remember?"

It begins to register.

"Of course I don't remember, you twat! I was practically in acoma! Then I was left in a closet! A FUCKING CLOSET! FORGOTTEN!"

"I-I... I'm really sorry."

"SORRY!? There is some fucked up shit lurking around the school and I can't even go home to my family..." Then it hits her. "My family..."

Skylar grabs hold Justice's hand and intertwines their fingers.
Justice lowers her head in sadness then lifts it back trying to hold back the tears, but a single tear slides down her face.

She squeezes her eyes shut and Skylar pulls her into a tight hug.
Skylar whispers,"I'm here."

Justice lets it all go and just starts bawling into Skylar's neck, gripping onto the back of her shirt tight.

Hunter runs into the equipment room and grabs an extra gym shirt and brings it to Justice.
Skylar takes it.

Hunter backs away then looks at Drew.
Drew's standing there with a blank look, staring at the girls holding onto eachother.

Hunter puts a hand on his shoulder and Drew's head drops.
"Bro-"
Before Hunter could finish Drew walks away and climbs to the top bleacher.

He lays on his front and faces his head to the wall and whispers, "I'm sorry..."

After a couple of hours things were calm...Except for the hallway.

Hunter rushes in from the hall out of breath carrying a medium-sized cardboard box.
He looks to Drew, but he's still in the same slump position, so he calls for Skylar instead.

She gestures to her lap showing Justice is sleeping on her.
"Just come!" He yells from the opposite side of the room.
She rolls her eyes and huffs as she tries to lay Justice's head on the floor gently.

"What?" She asks annoyed.

"The sun's gone down, and they're coming out of their holes."
He puts the box on the ground.

"So, what should we do?" Skylar asks.

"We have to shut off these gym lights, they're way too bright." He states.

"W-what? If we shut the lights off... We'd be in complete darkness."

"Don't worry, that's why I brought these."
Hunter reaches into the box and pulls out 4 candles.

"Oh my gosh, you're a genius! What else do you have in here?"
She rummaged through the box and counts: 8 candy bars, 6 bags of chips, 5 sodas and a large blanket.
"Woah."
She looks up to Hunter and raises an eyebrow.
"Where'd you find all this?"

"Well, I siphoned the chips and bars from whatever was left in the vending machines around school. I broke into the teacher's lounge and got the sodas from the mini fridge."

"Wow, I can't believe you ran around the school scavenging all this... That's really brave."
He smiles, but shortly after it disappears.

"You... Okay?" Skylar wonders.

He loses eye contact.
"Y-yeah, lets just shut down these lights."

"But you never told me where you found the-"

He walks over to the middle of the gymnasium with the candles before she could finish, setting them up in a square formation.

Skylar starts putting the supplies back into the box when she notices fresh blood on the corner of the blanket.
She bites her bottom lip and looks back at Hunter now lighting the candles.
"Damn..."
