I'd tried to go without it

A way of growing up, I suppose

But the night I fell asleep

Without its presence to aid me

I felt something fall away inside me

And maybe, I'll keep it

Maybe it'll be forever

But if growing up means that,

Maybe, just maybe,

Things as they are aren't so bad
