'Something new' I thought as I darted like a bee

'Something new' I thought as I craned my neck to see

'Something new' I thought as I held it in my hand

'Something new' I thought as up the stairs I ran

'Something new' I thought as I put it on my bed

'Something new' I thought as it blended with my walls of red

'Something new' I thought as I laid it besde the old

'Something new' I thought , because the replacement was better by tenfold

But the new one began to malfunction,

And I had to throw it away

'Maybe something new' I thought

'Wasn't that great anyway.'
