Pity the Hero whose life is lived not for themselves, but
for others.

Pity the Hero whose blood is shed in protection of life's
innocent.

Pity the Hero who's standing among the sitting crowds.

Pity the Hero, in their futile struggle with, not only this
decaying world's evil, but with their own haunting demons.

Pity the Hero who's fought to their last and the hero who's
lived to fight another day.

Pity the Hero- No, pity the being, who's sacrificed his
present life and future chances for those perceived as
more deserving.

Either they be peace keepers, life savers, world changers
or gift givers; standing against tyranny they do and are
heroes in the eyes of mine.
