ETERNITY
If you had an eternity,
What would you spend it on?
Would you trade it for gold and riches?
Would you give it up for a new life?
Royalty?
Will you give it up for a life of inspiration?
Or maybe talent?
If I had an eternity,
What would I spend it on?
I would not deem to think,
It could ever be fairly traded for gold and riches.
I could simply throw an old life away,
And find a new one.
Royalty had to many responsibilities.
I could find inspiration in the drip-drop of rain.
The rough clap of thunder.
Talent needs to be made.
People who gift you with words,
Saying you've got a natural talent?
That's dung.
If I had an eternity,
I would not spent it.
I would not trade it.
I would not give it away.
With my eternity,
I will let it rest on my Shelf,
Slowly gathering interest.
Then, I'd take my eternity,
And share it with you.
OBSESSION
People say they have an obsession.
Some say they are obsessed with chocolate.
Fudge.
Ice-cream
Dating.
Adrenaline.
But those are not obsessions.
Those are habits.
To eat.
Go out.
Go bungee-jumping.
Obsession is when you are so engrossed in what you do,
You forget to eat, shower, sleep.
When you stay on your bed,
Eyes peeled open wide.
Dry from not blinking.
Drawing until surnrise, and
When you look out the window, you get a burt of
INSPIRATION.
And stay up,
Drawing.
I think it's safe to say I'm
OBSESSED.
INTRODUCTION
What is the sunrise,
But a burst of colors?
Maybe it's God's pretty painting,
Or what the night sees as it's fainting.
What is the sunrise,
But blue and pink?
Maybe it's the night's finale say,
Or morning's first sunlight ray.
What is the sunrise,
But beautiful at a new height?
Maybe it's an introduction,
Between day and night.
TICK TOCK, CRODODILE WHISPERS
Tick tock.
A soft ticking in my stomach.
Tick.
Is it simply a clock, marking time?
Tock.
Or a disappointed tsk?
Tick.
Is it an alarm, set to go off every second?
Tock.
Or a timer, set to click them all off?
Tick.
Just marking when the bomb will go off.
Tock.
Is it there to wonder about?
Tick.
Is it there to keep me sane, being something stable?
Tock.
Or a figment of my imagination, a symbol of my insanity? A tugging feel, a reeling pull, a screaming sound. Telling me it does not exist. But my insanity does.
Tick tock.
THE WORLD THAT IS MINE
People wear glasses to better see the world,
But I don't want to see this world,
With all of its horror movies and tattoo sleeves,
All of its murderers and theives.
I want this world to fade away and pass with time.
I want glasses to better see the world that is mine.
BE STRONG
Sit down darling,
You need to be strong,
Because everything can go wrong.
The days are over when you picked weeds and thought they were flowers,
When you still needed help taking showers.
You know he will say sorry, mockingly and loudly,
But you need to stand straight and hold up your chin proudly.
Please don't fret,
Or with tears my cheeks will become wet.
I love you dear,
You know I always will,
But you need to be strong,
Because everything can go wrong.
SUNSET
Let me see the sun set,
With you by my side.
Let me see the sun set,
The colors stretching wide 'cross the sky,
Let me see the sun set,
With your hand in mine,
Let me see the sun set,
With you one last time.
Thanks for reading.
