Alien
Spiderweb eyes
Milky skin
Lips like pink clouds at 5am
Vibrant purple hair
Quiet stare
Subtle movements
Quieter mouth
With a serial killer smile
You came with the wind
Walked like water
With as much flexibility
Flowing over the soft earth
Ignorant to the stares
All too aware of our thoughts
As you flipped over the gate
And made yourself at home
Garnering great popularity
With the mind of Rousseau
And diction like Shakespeare
Accompanied by childish giggles
You were alien to us all
Little did I know, you really were
Just like all my sci-fi books
Your world was real
You were real
And I fell in love with you anyway
