I told them I could write a poem on anything. They challenged me to a poem on Canadian history. Shoot, too easy! So I made it acrostic as well. Enjoy a pointless poem on Louis Riel!

Louis Riel
Looks like Louis didn't like Canadians.
Obviously he didn't realize he was one too.
Until 1869 everything was peaceful but
Instead he rebelled and was kicked out of view.
Suddenly,
Riel reappeared to defend Métis concerns.
Ill-minded, he forgot he was breaking the law.
Executed by the government he influenced many and
Left nothing but a memory which no one can recall.
