| Light, Shadow & Darkness
Author: belokevin11 Light and Darkness, two things so different, one beautifully radiant the other abysmally dark. But they once loved. Now Darkness is what we see him today, old and cruel, because Light cast him out but still Darkness loved her. Please review at your pleasure

Random Rants: My first poem ever made here, I dedicate this to my muse. Why won't you stay even if you're classrooms far from mine, but you are like the Light, radiant for a while, then you go away. Just jokin' :))
The Love of the Light
Light is adored by all craeation
Loved by everything great and small
From the great redwoods and gentle carnations
To the blind wyrms of the duskfall
For what do we see at conceivance
But the light of our mother's two orbs?
Those precious hues of brown, blue or gray
Thanks to the light which allows us to live brightly today
But Light is a cruel mistress
To her humble husband; Darkness
Now Darkness is so bitter, so dire
Because his wife doesn't even manifest as a simple fire
For once, Darkness was a loving creature
That still holds the Light as something dear
A love that started even before Eden
When God made and molded all creation
It started on the 5th day
After the moon, sun and stars
Shone for one cycle, for the first time
On that day Light and Darkness intertwined
On that day true love was forged
When they met at dawn and dusk
There Darkness acknowledged a love
The first and true love of the Light
She sang with tears of molten gold
New stars burned bright with her voice
But the Darkness had two black abysses
Only for his Light, his beloved choice
He wanted Lovely Lady Light
And she wanted Debonaire Darkness
So they married on the earth, during twilight
Upon a hill, across a gold lake shining bright
She was blushing, two stars burning scarlet
In a gown of moonlight, and stars of diamonds
She kissed him and accepted his heart
The first and true love of the darkness
They had one son; Shadow
Able to exist in light and darkness
But there was a poison growing
Manifesting in Lady Light's heart
It seemed that Shadow loved Darkness better
He seemed to have a spring in huis step
Able to walk lightly and not falter
Whenever he was by his father
Light was jealous and banished her husband
Darkness asked and asked the reason
Yet light was hellbent on his leaving
He ran leaving dark rivers streaming
But Darkness was strong and hid ahead
To watch his wife and beg forgiveness
For whatever his haenous fault
And prepared an ode, nay, a song for penance
But the waiting made him old and bitter
For Light would come yet not stay after
He hated those meddlers, even his son Shadow
That disturb his song to his beloved
Light would still come and stay a while
There Darkness would be crying
She would just snarl then go
And leave her hurt husband crying
A/N: Find out what happens to Shadow in my next poem: Brightest Light, Darkest Shadow
