Forgotten soul shackled by fate,
Take your seat now, don't be late.
Don't miss your chance to stand irate,
The Party's Gift, your Two Minutes Hate.
The room goes black, the screen creates,
The delusion now to elate,
Your Fatherland, strong and great,
Give it praise with your Two Minutes Hate.
The page now turns, your pain to sate,
Your indignation to inflate,
As the flicker riles your wrath innate,
Drink it in, your Two Minutes Hate
With machine gun burst eradicate!
Flags and fields to immolate!
Smash! Destroy! ANNIHILATE!
Thump your chests with the Two Minutes Hate!
Bury your sorrow behind steel plate,
Against 'The Other' discriminate!
Eurasia, Eastasia, TERMINATE.
Oceania for thee we Two Minutes Hate!
And now the climax to masticate,
The Party Traitor to berate!
GOLDSTEIN! GOLDSTEIN! DECAPITATE!
UNLEASH YOUR RAGE IN THE TWO MINUTES HATE!
The moment then passed, the hour grows late,
Big Brother is the one who puts food on our plate,
So the quotas must grow at a steady rate,
It's time to go home from the Two Minutes Hate.
For deliverance in vain to wait,
Your forbidden sorrows to castigate,
As you stare your monster in the face,
This has been your Two Minutes Hate.
