Author: guesswho17 This is something I wrote and showed my English teacher who said I should put it up for people to see, and I say its easier to take any criticism this way. I hope you like it as much as it means to me.

Public man
Not a public man
Quietly I sit, book in hand
Sounds of party, laughter and music next door
I do not envy them
I lie to myself
Where did it all go so wrong ?
Where did my friends go
I want to go ever there
But I can't
I am not a public man
I sit , I read , I am alone
Nobody bothers me
Nobody bothers
I had friends , they did not last
Going out a daunting task
Social pressure , I become uneasy
I say maybe next time
They do not call
That was the last
On a Friday night I sit alone
I sit alone
A book in hand
Because I'm not a public man
