Okay… Just so no one gets the wrong idea, no, I am not in love with someone called Alex. It's just one of those things like with the Whitlams and the whole Charlie No1, Charlie No2, CharlieNo3 - you get me? Plus, as if I'd be dumb enough to actually let my obsessions be broadcast on the internet!

Yeah, well this song is pretty obsessive, anyway… as per usual. Slightly inspired by Velvet Goldmine - the whole "I wanna be your dream" line is from the song Ewan McGregor sings in the studio… looking incredibly sexy as he does so, too! If you've seen that movie, is it just me or does he fully look like Kurt Cobain with the bleached hair?? Interesting… Kurt Cobain and Curt Wild - anyhoo, nevermind my babblings!! R/R please…!

(I wanna be your dream,

I can set you free…

Never forget me)

Verse One

Never thought I’d feel so used

Every morning leaves me so confused.

Come with me,

Come for a thrill –

Wish I’d never seen

Those blue eyes fill.

Chorus

I wanna be your dream,

I can set you free…

Never forget me –

My heart

Has been torn apart

At the seams.

Verse Two

Nothing helps the pain inside

Every night I sit and cry.

Come with me,

Come for a thrill –

Wish you’d never took

That blasted pill.

Chorus

I wanna be your dream,

I can set you free…

Never forget me –

My life

Is in dire strife…

And I still love you.

Verse Three

Give me love then take it away,

Never thought I’d hear you say:

"Love is nothing to me, dear,

I’m not no fuckin’ queer."

End

I wanna be your dream,

I can set you free…

Never forget me –

Lying on the floor,

Knocking at the door,

Your words, they peeled me raw…

Closing that damn door…

Close the door.

The door.
