Emptiness
It fills me,
It swallows me up.
Leaves the void inside,
Like a canyon in the desert.
It looms ominously in the distance,
Seeming too far away to matter,
Until you finally reach it,
Descending on it
Like the emptiness descends on you,
Lonely and pitiful, but strangely majestic,
The abyss is just like you.
