Friendship

Ablaze amongst the backdrop of clouds rests the sun.
Burning ruthlessly in the massive blue sky, there is only one.
Yet, you will always have far more than a single friend.
That is a heartfelt promise on which you can depend.

If you ever feel overwhelmed and need to cry,
Just know that we will always be nearby.
Our companionship is a glowing moon you can't confuse,
A wealth of smiles and love you'll never refuse.

There isn't anything that we wouldn't do,
To help with the troubled times you're going through.
So if you ever need us to listen, we won't be far,
For a friend is a gift to cherish, like a shining star.
