The Hunted

Prologue

((AN: No, I'm not dropping Talisman Trouble...this is more or less something I'm doing to break my writer's block on that story!! So for now, bear with me!! I can promise that my slave driver will have me turning out chapter 22 within the week...but this is something I've been wanting to do for ages, so be nice ^_^))

In a not too distant future, in the year 2158, man discovers that living among them are non-humans. Creatures who, while not necessarily evil, are different. So they enclose themselves and the most desirable homes and land inside Domes, isolating them from the non-humans and leaving the outer world to crumble into a wasteland. Those with any mage-powers, and the people who choose to help the stranger races are branded as outcasts. Only bands of people known as 'the Hunters' dare to leave the safety of the Domes and hunt down the freaks who threaten their way of life.

But in doing so, they have upset the Balance of the world, Magic vs. Science, and it is slowly being torn apart by Rips to other dimensions. Now the only obstacle between Earth and destruction is a band of non-human mages known as 'the Hunted', who have the courage to stand between oblivion, and those who would destroy them.
