Requiem For

Requiem For The Dead On September 11, 2001

It is hard to tell

The way life can go

It is like green grass

That withers and dies

Your family is in pain

Your death is a witness

To the hate in the world

And the forces of evil

You are in darkness

A prisoner of death

No prayers can release you

In God’s memory you rest

So I write this poem to you

The ones that died that morning

And for your families and friends

I’ll light this candle in my heart

I dedicate this poem to the families and friends of those loved ones perished in the terrorist attacks that happened in the morning of September 11, 2001. I know that you’ll never forget them. My fellow Canadians surely feels the same way. May you never let the darkness consume you as the ones responsible for this did.
