Driven away by me, they crowd together-

Laughter mingles with tears.

It is not for me they cry,

For I am obsolete;

A broken belt, wasted nail-varnish,

A hair clip thats lost its pair.

And together they grow-

Outwards and inwards-

Adventures in the everyday-

Whilst I remain, shrouded in self-pity,

Pathetic and useless as yesterdays papers:

Interesting to reminisce about,

But suitable only to line the dog house.
