Booya. Wow, look at how long it's been. I'm a year older than I was when I started this shindig at . Creepy, huh? Well, anyway; this is a piece I've been working on in the last 24 hours for my best friend, Sui. (Yay Sui! Go Sui! Amen, muddafugga! She paid me in nookie to post this, just so you know; this was totally not of my own accord.) It's like... a random yaoi thing that I was writing for her long-past birthday. So, really, this story is all for Sui's ego. And my own, actually - I felt really uncomfortable with the fact that I hadn't posted for upwards of five months. v.v;; So after a bit of crap-hunting, Sui reminded me of this. ; And here it be. I'm not expecting any reviews, but if I do get one or two, then shit, you really do love me. Please excuse the bad names and even worse writing; I started this at 2 am, okay?! U.u

Disclaimer: Although I wish it wasn't, it's all mine. (Even Jun's sunglasses - I actually own a pair just like them.)

Akiha yawned, twirling his pencil boredly. The tip made little scores on the desk. Masami glared at him sideways.

"Aki, are you working?"

Akiha smiled widely. "Nope!"

"Mr. Masuyoshi," the teacher snapped, tapping his grading pen against his thick oak desk.

"Sorry," Akiha mumbled, and bowed his head so as to make it at least look like he was working. Only four
more minutes until class was out, and then he could use the ten minutes to catch up with Keiji and Riki. Keiji and Riki were the only twins in the whole school, and they looked so much alike that almost no one but themselves could tell them apart. Akiha never had trouble; Riki's chin was slightly more pointed than Keiji's, and Keiji's hair was a little bit wavier than Riki's.

The bell rang loudly, and all of the students jumped from their seats. The teacher barked the assignments after them. There was a ten percent chance of you actually hearing the assignment, so you usually had to go back later and get it again.

Outside, the sun flooded the grounds, but the air was frigid. Akiha pulled his school uniform's jacket tighter around him. "Keiji?"

He took off at a jog towards their staked-out table, and slid to a stop and rested against Riki. "Hey guys."

"Yo, Akiha," Keiji greeted. "Guess what? We got us a new student." He grinned.

"Is that so?" Akiha peered around Riki's shoulder, and his breath caught in his throat. The boy that sat before him, clothed in all the Tomoeda School for Boys uniformed glory, was perhaps an angel. He was beautiful.

He looked up and smiled at Akiha, and the darker boy smiled wanly back, knees weak. His eyes were a striking shade of violet, and his hair was dark but with copper streaks like fire. He was built like a dancer, lean and strong.

"Akiha, meet Asato. Asato, Akiha." Riki tugged on Akiha's hand. "C'mon, shake hands, boys!"

Akiha jerked his hand away, hoping he wasn't blushing. "Look... I gotta go... I'm gonna be late for my next class," he murmured.

"Late?" Riki and Keiji cried in unison, then dissolved into laughter. "Akiha, are you okay?"

"Shut up!" Akiha hissed, sure he was blushing now. His face burned.

"What class do you have?" Asato asked mildly. The burning sensation in Akiha's face intensified, and all he could manage was, "Math," before he sprinted away, hugging his books to his chest.

"Math... That's what I've got."

Riki and Keiji doubled over laughing. "Oh, man, Asato... Stay away from Akiha. He likes you!" That made them laugh harder.

Asato made a face, hefted his bookbag onto his shoulder, and followed Akiha - who was far ahead - into the main building.

"Oh, shit, oh my good god," Akiha wheezed as he dropped into an empty seat next to Jun.

Jun blinked and looked at Akiha over the rims of his pink fifties-style sunglasses. "Yes, my boy? You called?"

"Nice hat," Akiha snickered, referring to the rainbow-striped knitted monstrosity upon Jun's head.

"Yeah, you like? My grammy made it." Jun grinned. He slipped off the sunglasses and handed them to Masami, who was sitting next to him. "Anyway, what were you in such a rush about?"

"There's this new student, right?" Akiha murmured, leaning close and glancing around furtively. "And he's... like... fucking breathtaking. He's so gorgeous. I can't even speak to him, or else I start to blush like some prepubescent schoolgirl." Even thinking of Asato's face made him giddy.

"Well, boy, I say fuck him and then he won't look so good," Jun suggested in a practical tone, eyeing the blackboard at the front of the room. "No one ever seems as hot once you've seen 'em butt-naked."

"But he's got a good body too!" Akiha made a face.

"Okay... then maybe you're screwed." Jun smiled harmlessly.

"Oh, thanks for the help," Akiha sighed.

"Anytime, Aki." Jun reached over and grabbed the sunglasses from Masami. "Hey, bitch, those are mine," he snapped, and slipped them on. "All you need is a pair of sunglasses like mine, and then you can deal with anything. Watch."

Jun leaned across Aki and pinched the rear end of the boy who was passing. He whirled, eyes wide and face irate. Jun grinned up at him, looking at him sweetly over the pink rims. The boy made a face and backed away.

"See, Akiha?" Jun grinned.

Akiha had sunk low in his seat and was covering his face with his hands. "I don't know you, I don't know you..."

"Oh, come on, Aki. Everyone knows you're gay. Thus you're exiled and have to hang with me and Masami. Right, Masami?" Jun cast a glance over his shoulder at the dark-haired boy.

Masami simply glared. "I'm not gay."

"Shut up, Masami; you're as gay as a little girl on a warm spring day." Jun stuck out his tongue, then took off his glasses and put them on Akiha.

"Jun! These are the ugliest things I've ever seen!" Akiha protested.

"Quiet, grasshopper," Jun scolded. "Now look around. Do you feel any different?"

"I feel stupider than I did ten seconds ago."

"That's a start!" Jun exclaimed. "Now give me back my sunglasses; you've got cooties."

Akiha suddenly went rigid, eyebrows almost disappearing under the veil of his bangs. "Oh shit... That's him, Jun! That's Asato!"

"Really? Which one?" Jun leaned in close and eyed all the boys coming in.

"The one with the streaked hair! The really hot one!" Akiha wiggled low in his seat and flopped his hair over his eyes. "Don't see me... Don't see me..."

"What'd you say his name was?" Jun asked.

"Asato."

"Asato!" Jun called. "Over here!"

"Fuck!" Akiha gasped. "Jun, I'm going to gouge out your eyes when the bell rings, you ass bandit!"

"Wow, he is gorgeous," Jun observed. "Masami, move over. We've got company." Masami obeyed, shoving farther away. Jun followed, leaving an empty seat next to Akiha. "Happy hunting," he murmured before Asato sat down.

"Hey." Asato smiled.

Akiha glanced up, then realized he still had the ridiculous sunglasses on. He blushed furiously.

Asato laughed. "Nice glasses."

"Um... they... they're not mine!"

"You can keep them since you want them so much," Jun called pleasantly.

"I'm going to burn them when I get home," Akiha called back.

"Give me back my sunglasses, you little twerp," Jun snapped. "They are holy! They've been blessed by the only gay priest in Japan!"

Akiha rolled his eyes and dropped the glasses on Jun's side of the desk, then took his pencil in his hand and gripped it rather tightly. Being close to gorgeous guys always made him nervous; he wasn't very tactful when it came to men - or women, for that matter. Akiha just had no luck at all.

Asato seemed to pretty much ignore everyone throughout class. He was immersed in whatever the teacher was writing, the problems he scribbled out, and he wrote extremely neatly and made lots of notes in the margins. Akiha watched him as discreetly as possible out of the corner of his eye. What was this guy, a neat freak? A teacher's pet?

Before Akiha realized it, the bell had rung, and Jun pulled him out of his seat with rough hands and hauled him out the door, Masami and Asato in tow.

"Jesus Christ --" Akiha struggled, surprised. "What the hell are you doing, Jun?!"

"Jun needs to talk to you!" the bespectacled boy cried in his most effeminate voice. "Over there, away from Masami!"

Akiha wrenched himself away from Jun and straightened his collar, his face flushed. "You are on crack, Jun! what do you want, for the love of god?"

Jun leaned against the wall and grinned like a cheshire. He tipped his pink glasses low on his nose, eyeing Akiha over the bright rims, and one thin black eyebrow arched. "You, Akiha, are going on a date tomorrow."

Akiha blinked, shifting his bag on his shoulder. "Huh?"

"You and Asato! You're so cute together!"

"What the hell are you talking about, you crack fiend? He and I have barely even talked! I've known him for all of an hour and a half!" Akiha narrowed his eyes, a little irritated, but piqued. Jun was the supreme matchmaker; if he put his mind to it, then there was very little doubt that it wouldn't work. "Look, Jun, I appreciate the effort, but it's really useless. Asato's straight!"

"Fuck that!" Jun exclaimed, giggling. "Koji was straight too - and then I slept with him! Now he's gayer than Masami!"

"I'm not gay!" Masami called, deadpan.

"Of course you're not, Masami, dear." Jun smiled placatingly at the other boy. He turned back to Akiha, and fixed his glasses on his nose. "So? Where would you like him to take you tomorrow night?"

"Jun... Don't. Please. I mean it."

"Akiha, there is no way in hell I'm letting the two of you slip through my fingers. It's just not gonna happen. You're so perfect for each other." Jun smiled dreamily.

"Oh, yeah... Perfect... Except for the fact that I can't even speak to him because my heart leaps into my throat everytime he looks into my eyes!" Akiha sighed heavily and backed away, shaking his head. "This isn't gonna work out, Jun."

Jun simply winked enigmatically, then took Akiha's hand and led him back to where Asato and Masami stood. Masami looked generally peeved, as usualy, and Asato looked quite bemused. Jun looked like a cat that had just eaten a flock of canaries.

Akiha had a sinking feeling in his stomach as he watched the way Jun eyed Asato. Things were definitely going rapidly downhill.
