Expand Tighten

~Ashes to Ashes~

Shadows forever
we children
of night;
denied by
our families,
forsaken
by light.
Tortured and
broken,
shattered and
shamed,
accused for
shortcomings,
callously blamed.

Our flesh
shall be ashes,
our blood
will be rust;
we'll all die
as cowards
and turn into
dust.

Like broken mirrors
we show what
we see;
a world that
is twisted
and empty
as we.
Once we were
human,
once were
sane,
now all caged
like creatures,
humanity's
bane.

Our flesh
turns to ashes,
our blood
becomes rust;
we all die
as cowards
and turn into
dust.

Call us mad killers
for mad are
we all;
you think lies
a virtue
and thus must
you fall.
Slaughter you
savior,
kneel down and
pray,
fall like a
shadow and
die with the
day.

Our flesh
turned to ashes,
our blood
became rust;
we all died
as cowards
and turned into
dust.

Our sins
made us ashes,
our lies
made us rust;
we all lived
like cowards
so now we are
dust.
