TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Why would one worship
A god they cannot see?
When we are all surrounded
By the sky, the earth, the sea

The beauty all around us
And the crawling of the grass
The waves upon the sea
And the glimmer of the stars

The explosion of a new dawn
Encroaching on the sky
And the flutter of a bird
As it starts to fly

Above our heads we hear it sing
And below us hear the roar
Of natures gleaming beautious
Creatures big and small

There is so much to recognise
And appreciate
That I can hardly look away
It is all top rate

The beauty of a flower
The lovely sound of spring
The shimmer of a snowflake
And an insects lonely ring

The courage of an ant
Fighting a huge bug
Ready to lay his life
For a colony he loves

The jumping of a roo
Dancing across the dirt
Speeding faster with each bound
Calm and yet alert

I know that you might say
That God made this all
But for us non-believers
Who don't have God to call

We have to look at now
And the stuff that we can touch
And for whatever's responsible
I thank it very much
