I saw a humble man
Walking down the street one day
And I thought I caught his his eye
As he went along his way
It was like a brilliant flash of light
Blue burning in my soul
Like an aqua molten lava
Waking up my whole
He had seen it all
This man that I had seen
The turn of two centuries
The bith and death of dream
He had seen computers
Claw their way into our lives
He had seen the aeroplanes
Slowly fill our skies
He had seen the world at war
Time and time and time
He had probably fought in some
And been at the firing line
He has truely lived
And none can take that now
Whether life was good or bad
He lived and thats what counts
I will remember always
And his memory won't dim
Becsuse I know when I grow up
I want to be like him...
