Intruder

The sea

Embraces the blue sky

Stretches sapphire fingers to sweep the sand

Tickles his feet with gentle currents

The sand

Blazes white-hot against the sun

Meets the sea with brilliant pale flashes of color

Grits irritably against his toes

The gulls

Broads out wide wet wings to the sunfilm

Squawks amongst themselves

Tilts their heads to look curiously at him

He

Gazes off into the distant horizon

Bends down to pat the cerulean water

Lets the wind sweep his hair

Listens to the sea
