PILLAGER

I hear you talk of him,
He must be a great guy
Someone you hold high
But who seems to hold you low

I have never met him
And I hope I never will
He fills all your senses
But his presense, ill

You don't know how I feel
of course, and this is how it stays
For I know it never pays
To reveal youself to one enamored

This man you speak of
You say you love
And I won't argue
But I know he doesn't love you

You make excuses for his acts
And all his broken promises
He has never kept one
And yet you keep on him

I could make you so happy
I know I could and I know we would
But this 'man' has put a spell
On you and made you distant

We catch the bus, me and you
And you say he puts you down
Or forgets to pick you up
But you don't leave, you give up

And what hurts the most
When I see you suffer
At the hands of a useless other
Is that I could make you happy

He worms his way into your world
After you kicked him out
And he will never leave, he knows
His has your number down

He knows all your buttons
He makes me sick
To lead you on, you are to good
To live on a world with him

He doesn't deserve a second of time
A millisecond of time with you
But he'll make a face or sing a song
And to him you'll be like goo

Ready to mold into a shape
Befitting an asshole like him
I hate him and I love you
But you could never see...

I love you...
