A/N: This is just a short poem I wrote for my friend who is going through some rough times right now...

Reasons to Smile

by Prongs

The times you're going through are pretty rough.

I know you feel like everything in life is harsh and tough.

You may feel like these bad times are bringing down any smile you might have had.

And now you're filled with a sense that you were always meant to be sad.

Instead of going home and starting to weep or cry,

Clear your head of sadness and think of why you'd rather NOT die.

The reasons to live and smile should abound in your life.

I certainly hope they outweigh the sadness, anger, and strife.

When you were young, your parents tucking you in at night,

Protecting you from evil monsters that might make you cry out in fright.

Laughing and complaining with your friends about anything they might want to share.

And most of all knowing that they will always be there to listen and care.
