Author's notes: This is a poem I wrote to express how anyone who has ever longed to be with an anime or fictional character on television feels. I wrote this with Tsunami-sama from Tenchi Muyo in mind, but I think you'll that it could apply to any situation similar to mine . . . maybe even yours. I was a little depressed when I wrote this though, so you'll have to take that into account.

"Watching from Afar"
by Leeman

As I sit here and gaze upon you day by day,
I am more at awe of your beauty every passing moment.
Watching you from afar is the only way,
I can warm my heart's frozen core.

The more I gaze upon you,
The more I come to understand.
You are an angel far beyond my world of blue,
And I know that all I can do observe..

You are not tangible in this realm,
But your ideal burns with life in my mind.
While some say you only exist on film,
I know that you do have a soul.

It is my fate to watch you from afar,
To see your bright smile each day.
I can't begin to express how beautiful you are,
Even if you live only inside of my dreams.
