The Circle of Life

The Circle of life, moves us all,

Through hardship and strife, we watch it fall.

Many a man ponders year after year,

Where do we come from? What causes fear?

Why are some happy, while others in pain?

Can they start over, and live it again?

Do we control destiny, what future brings,

Or are we just puppets, lifeless beings on strings?

Is there a creator, a great lord wills to give?

Why do creatures die, while others can live?

Is death a simple time bomb, ticking its clock?

Why are some hearts soft, while others hard as rock?

Why do people cry, while other people laugh?

Can't they feel the laughter, on its constant winning track?

What would be if the grass wasn't green, the sky was not a blue?

Do you really find true love, or does true love find you?

Why does destiny lead one way, while heart leads to the other?

Are we to truly find a love, or just a lusting lover?

Does the creator feel a pain, as we go our separate way?

Cut the strings and head on out, putting life at bay?

Does he feel grief when we are gone, that he has no control?

He simply, wearily, lets out a sigh, and thinks,

"That's one less soul."
